a creative tea workshop

The Pink Table is a project dedicated to hosting unique, creative, and innovative tea table experiences.

The name comes from the colour pink. Within the language of tea, colours often mark categories — green, black, white, yellow, oolong. Pink, however, does not belong to any one group. It is neutral and inclusive, allowing space for new interpretations. For us, pink symbolizes openness: a platform where traditions meet experiments, where established methods coexist with improvisation, and where tea culture becomes a shared ground for dialogue.

At the foundation of each session are carefully selected premium teas, diverse in flavour and rooted in distinctive socio-geographical identities. These teas are prepared through a variety of methods, drawing inspiration from Chinese traditions while also incorporating experimental approaches. The sessions use both finely crafted teawares from Asia and Europe and everyday tools sourced from local markets, reimagined through upcycling. This approach challenges the perception that refined tea culture requires extensive resources or exclusive equipment.

Our methodology is inspired by architectural storytelling. We use concept development, material exploration, and spatial composition as tools to design coherent tea experiences. Materiality becomes a way of thinking: vessels, layouts, and ambience are chosen to reflect the qualities and stories of each tea. The space itself is integral — not just a backdrop but an active element shaped to guide viewpoints, focus, and atmosphere.

The Pink Table aims to serve as a common ground for dialogue and collaboration. Tea, as a sensory medium, engages multiple senses and creates a shared platform for interaction. Each element — from the vessels to the host’s gestures — contributes to a holistic sensory experience. This makes the format adaptable to diverse occasions and settings, offering opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration where tea acts as both medium and connector.
